A spiritual advisor for an Alabama man on death row visited John Robert Lewis Hall for a discussion regarding the death penalty on Monday.  Reverend Jeff Hood, the speaker at the discussion, came to Alabama from Arkansas to act as the spiritual advisor for Anthony Boyd, a man who received a death sentence for being an accomplice in the 1993 murder of Gregory Huguley. These tours are led by students called Trojan Ambassadors.  Trojan Ambassadors is an on-campus organization that specializes in recruitment for the university. Oct 7 marked Troy University’s eighth annual Giving Day, the university’s largest fundraising event of the year, which raised over $500,000 toward many areas of the university.  Giving Day works to unite faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends from across America in giving back to the school they love.
