Troy continued to smash through records in Birmingham, Alabama, during the UAB invite last Saturday. The Trojans broke several personal records and a program record throughout their competitionwhile also placing top five in some events.

During the event, Troy competed with many schools throughout the southeast such as Georgia Southern, Kennesaw State and Memphis.

On the women’s side, Faith Jones broke the school record for 60m hurdles, timing 8.48 during the final round following a time of 8.64 during the prelims. This record edges out the previous record of 8.51, which was set by Monique Jones 18 years ago. This time for 60m hurdles placed her second overall during the meet.

In the prelims during the 60m event, Whyte ran a 7.60. During the finals, she improved with a time of 7.51 which earned her a fourth place finish overall.

During the women’s 5000m event, two personal records were broken. Ansley McMeen and Abigail Carr both ran their fastest times during the event with times of 20:03.53 and 20:05.42, respectively.
