The Troy soccer team played its final road match of the season this weekend, as it faced off against ULM in Louisiana on Sunday, where the Trojans fell 3-0 to the Warhawks.
Troy had five total shots with three shots being on goal. The Warhawks outshot the Trojans with 23 total attempts, with nine being on goal.
ULM scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into the locker room. The Warhawks scored again in the 86th minute to close out the match.
Defender Libby Holmes scored two goals on two shots, netting the Warhawks second and third goals of the match. Holmes has now scored five goals this season.
On the Trojans offensive end, Hailey Phillips, Megan Hamm and Embla Gunnarsdottir each registered a shot on goal. Freshman goalkeeper Keely Cash had a career-high of six saves, making her second career start.
Troy now turns its focus to its remaining two home matches. On Oct. 24, the Trojans will face off against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns.
Troy will end the season with a rivalry matchup against South Alabama on Oct. 29. Both matches will be held at the Troy Soccer Complex as the Trojans finish out the season.

Road losses are where casual bettors completely overreact. A tired squad travels, drops points, and suddenly everyone starts fading them forever. What I actually watch is: did they create chances and just not finish, or were they totally out of ideas? If it’s the first case, that’s where value shows up next game — you can grab them to score at least once, or take a safer double chance instead of full moneyline. I’ll open the 1xbet app and look for those calmer markets instead of forcing some big upset ticket just to feel brave.
