The Troy Trojans are coming off two straight losses, one being a 33-0 shutout loss to Old Dominion last Thursday. Troy looks to bounce back against Georgia State, which is 1-9 and 0-6 in Sun Belt Conference play this season.
The Trojans keep their conference championship game berth chances alive with a win. Troy needs to win out and see either Southern Miss beat South Alabama on Saturday or have Arkansas State drop a contest to represent the West division for a shot against James Madison.

Goose Crowder and RaRa Thomas high-five before Troy's game.
Georgia State is still looking for its first FBS win this year and walks into The Vet trying to get it. However, head coach Gerad Parker isn’t overlooking the Panthers.
“We have a Georgia State team coming in here on senior day that plays extremely hard and may not have a record that they would want to have,” Parker said. “We’ve got to do better in our process and remove distractions.”
The Trojans tried the dual quarterback attack versus Old Dominion with both Tucker Kilcrease and Goose Crowder playing. The Trojans look to bounce back from their first shutout in over a decade against a Georgia State team that surrenders 39.6 points per game.
Running back Tae Meadows and wide receiver Tray Taylor are looking to be offensive sparkplugs against the Panthers defense, which has struggled mightily. Taylor has been a big play machine this year, going into the Old Dominion game sitting fifth nationally with 20.1 yards per catch.
Journeyman Panthers quarterback TJ Finley looks to cut back on interceptions against a lethal Trojans defensive back room. As a member of the Texas State Bobcats in 2023, Finley threw for 262 yards and a touchdown against the Trojans but was picked off twice.
For the Trojans, the number one priority on the field is to protect the quarterback and establish the run game. The offensive line has given up nine sacks against both Arkansas State and Old Dominion.
The Trojans play their final home game of the season on Nov. 22 at The Vet. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m., and the game will be aired on ESPN+ and the Troy Sports Radio Network.
