Head Coach Randy Keck rolled out the same lineup for the Trojans’ second event of the spring as he did in last week’s match and Troy had four individuals finish in the top 10. After Monday Nicole Lorup and Anna Claire Little are in the red following 28 holes at the First Coast Classic to lead the Troy women’s golf team to a first place standing on the leaderboard. Teams were pulled off the course midway through Monday’s second round at the Deerwood Country Club due to heavy rain and lightning. Lorup and Little each carded six birdies during their play Monday, which is three off the overall leader. Lorup, the individual leader, had just a pair of bogeys in her opening round and her card was clean through 10 holes in round two, while Little, who was a shot back in second place, had two bogeys in round one and ust one in round two. “We got off to a really hot start in the second round and made a bunch of birdies,” Keck said. “It’s unfortunate that the weather came in because we were playing really well. We hit a bunch of good iron shots and putted really well. “We were making a lot of 8-to-10 foot putts and really played with a lot of confidence.” Troy returned to the course Tuesday morning, finishing out the tournament in second place with Lorup also in second.
