The Troy men’s tennis team capped off a six-match road stretch with a 4-1 win over Georgia Southern on Tuesday in Statesboro, Georgia.

The Trojans got off to a slow start in the doubles phase as Mustapha Belcora and Oskar Michalek lost 6-2 to the Eagles’ Eddie Landin and Diego Finkelstein.

Troy bounced back in the next two doubles matches as Pelayo Antuña/Jiaqi Duan and Amer Bedwan/Andy Lau each won their contests in one set.

Two of the six singles matches went unfinished, but Duan, Michalek and Antuña all secured wins in two sets to ensure a Trojan victory. Lau was the only one to lose his singles match.

The team will now return home for its next two matches, which will be a doubleheader on Saturday against ABAC and Alabama A&M. The first match is scheduled for 11 a.m.a
