The NFL season is well underway and that also includes the season of some former Men of Troy.

In his rookie season with the Los Angeles Chargers, former Troy running back Kimani Vidal has played four games, rushing for 44 yards, with a long of seven yards. He’s averaging 2.4 yards on 18 carries while also picking up two first downs on the ground for the Chargers.

Vidal has also recorded three receptions for 49 yards -- with a long of 38 yards -- averaging 16.3 yards in three targets and picking up one first down in the air for the Chargers. Vidal’s first reception, in a week six matchup against the Denver Broncos, not only marked the first touch of his professional career but also the first touchdown of his career.

Moving to the east coast, another rookie from the Trojans, Javon Solomon, is making waves in Buffalo, New York. The two-time All-Sun Belt First Team defensive end has earned significant playing time with the Buffalo Bills.

Solomon has played in eight out of 10 games for the Bills, tallying five tackles and two sacks while also forcing a fumble in a week three matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Staying on rookie defenders, Chicago Bears cornerback Reddy Steward was recently elevated from the practice squad to the active roster. He’s played one game in a week nine matchup against the Arizona Cardinals that saw him not only record a tackle but also force a fumble against the Cardinals.

Lastly, another Trojan rookie, Dell Pettus, is making his name known in a New England Patriots jersey. Pettus has played all 10 games for the Patriots and has tallied 11 solo tackles along with 11 assisted tackles.

The safety recorded his first career sack in a week 10 matchup against the Chicago Bears. Pettus has also defended one pass.

All of the former Trojans will be back in action on Sunday, Nov. 17 for week 11 action in the NFL.
