The Thinker celebrates the end of Trojan football spring training. The helmet was placed on the statue Wednesday. The statue, created by Auguste Rodin, is bronze. It depicts a male figure hunched over, resting his chin on his hand in thought. This statue is usually associated with philosophy. The statue was a creation inspired by Dante’s epic poem The Divine Comedy. Many believe that the Thinker is supposed to represent Dante at the Gates of Hell in the poem.
