After a match Wednesday was postponed, Troy men’s tennis dominated the UAB Blazers 4-2 and the Spring Hill College Badgers 6-1, extending their winning streak to four matches.

The Blazers started hot against the Trojans with a 6-2 win in the early doubles spot, but the Trojans would soon kill whatever momentum the Blazers had in doubles with a 6-3 win in the No. 2 spot by way of Yeray Andres Pastor and Henrique de Brito to force a third match for the doubles point. In that third match, the Trojans would seal the deal via a 7-5 Luciano Alcocer and Hiiro Sakamoto win to give the Trojans an early 1-0 lead.

The Blazers would once again start off hot, winning the first two singles matches against the Trojans before Luciano Alcocer would respond for the Trojans with a 7-5, 6-3 win in the No. 6 spot to level things.

After that, The Trojans would be full steam ahead with a with a Sakamoto win on court five before Pastor would give the Trojans the winning point.

Troy would continue that momentum Tuesday, cruising to its fourth straight win against the Spring Hill College Badgers.

The Trojans would win the doubles point once again with the help of Yeray Andres Pastor/Henrique de Brito and Hiiro Sakamoto/Luciano Alcocer.

Andres Pastor and de Brito are now 6-0 as a pair while Sakamoto and Alcocer are now 9-4.

Andres Pastor, de Brito, Sakamoto, and Alcocer would all win their singles matches along with Noah Martens to help the Trojans seal a 6-1 win against the Badgers.

The Trojans are now 9-4 on the season and travel to Orlando, Florida, to take on the South Carolina State Bulldogs. First serve is set for 9 a.m.
