Troy soccer head coach Stuart Gore resigned from his position this past Thursday after three seasons with the Trojans. Gore finished his career with the Trojans with a total record of 16-28-8.

“I would like to thank Coach Gore for his commitment to our soccer program,” said Athletics Director Kyle George. “We wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.”

During his three-year tenure at Troy, the Trojans were 2-21-7 in Sun Belt Conference play. Troy will begin a nationwide search for its next head coach heading into 2026.

Gore’s resignation comes shortly after Troy’s season-ending loss to South Alabama.

The Trojans closed out their 2025 season with an unfortunate 1-0 loss to rival South Alabama on senior night. It was a strong defensive match between both teams, but despite nine total shots, Troy could not secure a goal.

The Jaguars scored early in the first half, finding paydirt in the 5th minute on a Zamiyah Hill goal.

Troy goalkeeper Keely Cash had a standout performance -- the freshman had a career-high eight saves while facing South Alabama’s nine shots on goal. The Jaguars outshot the Trojans 29-9 on the night.

Offensively, the Trojans managed to take nine shots, with five corner kicks and four shots on goal. Troy’s attack was led by Megan Hamm, who posted four total shots, two of which were on target.

Prior to the match, seniors Sarah Cramer, Nittany Vega and Jiselle Daniels were honored on the field.

Cramer ended her season with six total shots, three of which were on target. Vega had a total of five saves in her match against North Alabama and made four starts in 2024. She logged 1.5 goals against average as a junior last season after the starting goalkeeper was injured.

Daniels had a total of 14 points in 2025, leading the Trojans with 37 total shots while having 22 shots on goal. She found the back of the net seven times in 10 matches this season before going down with an injury. Daniels closed her season ranked second in the Sun Belt for total shots, fourth for shots on goal, fourth in goals, third in points, and first in game winning goals.

As the Trojans head into the offseason, they look forward to regrouping and building the team up for their 2026 season. Troy finished its 2025 season with a 5-9-3 record, along with a 0-7-3 record in Sun Belt play.
