We must condemn murder

On September 10, 2025, Tyler Robinson was arrested on suspicion of the shooting and murder of conservative political podcaster and debater Charlie Kirk while hosting an event at Utah Valley University. As of Monday, September 15, officials have stated that we do not yet know for certain the political persuasion or motives of Robinson.
This instance of political violence has, dishearteningly, reminded me of the culture of violence that we live in in the United States. What has been even more disheartening to me in the past week than yet another instance of senseless violence has been the reaction from many people on my own side of the political aisle. I have, unfortunately, seen people who otherwise advocate for peace and nonviolence celebrate or make light of this tragic murder.
Reader, if you celebrate Kirk’s murder, you are essentially calling for the death penalty for those who say things that you do not like. If you do not support the utilization of the death penalty for murder, ask yourself why you believe that convicted murderers deserve to live despite their crime, but Charlie Kirk did not due to his speech.
It is hypocritical to be against the death penalty and yet celebrate the tragic murder of Kirk. I vehemently oppose the death penalty- I do not believe that violence is the answer to violence. I most certainly do not believe that violence is the answer to controversial ethical beliefs. Nobody should be harassed, intimidated, threatened, or face violence due to their beliefs.
Cultivating a culture in which people celebrate the death of someone they disagree with sets a dangerous precedent- one in which a polarizing figure from one side is assassinated and the other party celebrates. This is likely to lead to a disgusting cycle of violence and celebration.
My prayers are with Erika Kirk, and with Kirk's daughters. His wife and children did not deserve to lose their husband and father, nor did they deserve to witness the brutal murder of the man that they loved most.
Rest in peace, Charlie.

The Santa Claus Costume Collection has such a great range that I actually had trouble picking just one. What stood out to me is how they paid attention to the small details, like the gold buckle, glove quality, and the hat’s structure. You can tell the designers wanted these costumes to look premium, not cheap or flimsy.
This post is the perfect style inspiration I was looking for. Thank you! I remember seeing Mrs. Trump wear this during a recent trip to London, and it was the perfect choice for the location. It was a nod to British heritage while maintaining her signature style. That look stuck with me, so I was thrilled to find this Melania Trump Burberry Trench Coat on Vanson Jackets.
