Two men’s basketball players have entered the transfer portal, and another has found a home at a different Division I school. Tahj Small, a guard from Durham, North Carolina, and Ty Gordon, a guard from Tunica, Mississippi, have both decided to enter the transfer portal, according to Verbal Commits. K.J. Simon, a guard from Orlando, Florida, announced he will be transferring to Bethune-Cookman, which is in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference – that makes five members of the team who have decided to enter the transfer portal and continue their collegiate careers elsewhere. “Blessed to announce, I will be playing for the @BCUhoops next fall,” Simon said in a tweet on Tuesday. “Thanks, @RyanRidder, for the opportunity to be a part of something special.” Last season for the Trojans, Simon mostly came off the bench, averaging 4.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per game. Simon notched his season-high of 21 points in the opening game against UAB on Nov. 7. Gordon started 13 games last season and was one of the leading scorers on the team with 12.1 points per game. Gordon had his best night on Feb. 15 with a 28-point performance against the Ragin’ Cajuns. Small began the season coming off the bench but eventually fought his way into the starting lineup and started in the final nine games of the season. Small’s best night came on Feb. 13 in Trojan Arena against Louisiana-Monroe, where he scored 12 points against the Warhawks.
