Troy football may not be returning to the field just yet, but the team is ready to kick off the season.

The annual Troy Football Kickoff Party will be held Saturday in Trojan Arena from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the season coming to the field on Saturday, Sep. 5. As this year’s Kickoff Party will be the third with head coach Gerad Parker, he expressed excitement in attending the event again.

“The annual Kickoff Party has become one of our favorite nights each year, as Kandi (wife) and I enjoy the opportunity to spend time with and connect with everyone,” Parker.

The iconic preseason event will feature multiple fun activities for Trojan fans. Along with food and drinks being provided, there will be a $10,000 grand prize, live music, a silent auction and a live auction.

The excitement around the football team comes after a successful season when the Trojans made it to the Sun Belt Championship. As the season closes in, Parker says the support from the community given to him and the team has been incredible.

“Here we are, talking about the start of the 2026 football season,” Parker said. “The support we’ve received from the Troy community and Trojan Nation has been second to none.

“We truly appreciate every one of you.”
