Troy basketball programs announceboth non-conference schedules

The Troy men's and women’s basketball teams are looking ahead to the 2026-27 slate after releasing their non-conference schedules last week. Right before a strong Sun Belt schedule, both Troy basketball teams are set to face several Power Four opponents. However, before the thick of the conference slate, the Trojans have the chance to stun teams like LSU on the road.

The non-conference action kicks off on Nov. 2 with the men playing UMass at home, and the women playing Kent State on the road, both part of the MAC-SBC challenge series. On Nov. 5, the women's team will face Thomas for its home opener in Trojan Arena, and one day later, the men's team will travel to Tallahassee, Florida, to play the Florida State Seminoles. On Nov. 10, the men will play LMU at Trojan Arena.

On Nov. 11, the women will face their first big-name team, the Mississippi State Bulldogs, on the road. On Nov. 13, the men and women both hit the road to play some hoops, with the men playing NC State and the women facing Belmont.

On Nov. 16 and 17, the basketball squads continue their runs on the court with the women’s team facing LSU on the road and the men playing host to CSUN in Trojan Arena. On Nov. 19, the women finally come back to Trojan Territory to play Longwood, while the men play Valparaiso in the Pensacola Bay Center. The day after, they will face Nicholls in Pensacola, Florida as well.

The women will travel to Reno, Nevada, on Nov. 27 to play UC Davis while the men hit the road to play Chattanooga a day later. The women play Nevada on Nov. 29, and the men face Furman at home on Dec. 1.

Dec. 5 looks to be a fun day in the world of Trojan Hoops as the women’s team plays Alabama State, and the men’s squad plays UAB as a doubleheader in Trojan Arena.

On Dec. 12, the women play Colorado State in San Diego, California, while the men play MUW in Troy. On the following day, the women play Oral Roberts again in San Diego.

Trojan fans have a lot to look forward to in the world of Trojan Basketball with many Power Four games, competitive in-state matchups as well as several held games in Trojan Arena. The first contest for these squads on campus is the men’s team against UMass on Monday, Nov. 2.
