Starting in the 2026 athletic season, Veterans Memorial Stadium will have the Troy Regional Medical Centers logo on the visiting sideline. The announcement follows a wave of new field and jersey sponsors within Division I athletics.

The deal, which is seven years long, is expected to benefit every student athlete, boost Troy Regionals coverage and strengthen the bond between the two in the Wiregrass region. The logo will be placed within the 10- and 20-yard lines on the visitor sideline.

“We are Troys hometown team, and this monumental partnership further cements that status by placing the Troy Regional logo on the field at Veterans Memorial Stadium,” said Troy Athletics Director Kyle George.

This collaboration was also arranged in working with the multimedia rights holder for Troy Athletics, Troy Sports Properties (Playfly Sports). Troy Athletics is currently among the top Group of Six athletic programs in the country, following an impressive 2025-26 athletic season that featured a No. 6 national ranking for Troy Baseball with its trip to the College World Series.

Troy Men's Basketball also participated in March Madness for a second straight year, Troy Women's Basketball competed in the Women's Basketball Invitation Tournament held by the NCAA and Troy Football won the Sun Belt West Division title for the third time in the past four seasons while appearing in the program's 11th bowl game.

Troy Regional CEO Rick Smith doubled down on George’s statement.

"This is game-changing for Troy Regional," Smith said. "Troy University continues to provide more and more services for our community and the outlying areas, as does Troy Regional.

“We continue to elevate our services. We thought this was a natural progression to not only show our support for the university but also for the community we serve.

“We're proud to be this sponsor and look forward to the coming years."

Over the years, Troy Regional has served many residents in a seven-county area since 1969. As well as taking in providers who will meet the needs of the multiple growing communities, Troy Regional continues to expand services and upgrade facilities to provide the best healthcare close to home.

The field sponsorship will officially debut on Sept. 5, when the Sam Houston State Bearkats take on the Troy Trojans in the Vet. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.
