Peace in the Middle East is on its way to finally being restored. Trump has signed a peace agreement with Hamas and Israel. According to bbc.com, Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of the Gaza Plan. This comes after a long and deadly two years of war between Hamas and Israel. According to apnews.com, over 63,000 people have died because of this senseless war. Now, people everywhere can rejoice in knowing that peace is coming.
The war started back when Hamas invaded Israel on Oct. 7th, 2023. Since then, thousands and thousands of people have been taken hostage, injured or killed. However, President Trump has been actively trying to fight for peace, and now he orchestrated the signing of the first peace deal. According to cbs.news.com, people were seen in the streets of Israel thanking President Trump for leading the effort in negotiating the end to this terrible war.
This doesn’t directly affect the people of America. However, this war affects the positions of politicians on foreign affairs. If people want global peace, senseless wars like this need to be put away. Thankfully, the United States has a peacemaker in President Donald Trump, and with this solved, peace in the Middle East can be restored.
Since phase one has been signed and agreed to, what’s next? The remaining Israeli hostages have been released back to their homes, according to abc.news.go.com. Since the hostages have been released, Israeli troops have withdrawn to the line that still leaves them in control of 53% of Gaza. According to Trump's Plan, this is the first step in Israel’s withdrawal. Per bbc.com, a Trump economic plan headed by lead panel experts aims to rebuild and energize Gaza. This will restore all the power and technology that got destroyed in the war.
President Trump is doing what he does best: ensuring global peace. We have never seen a President negotiate the end of so many wars. However, the rhetoric of Trump being a “dictator” will live on. People will once again not give President Trump the praise he deserves for ending so many wars that the United States aren’t even involved in. The horrific war in the Middle East is now over, and peace has finally been restored. Thank You, President Trump.
