A new tuition-based scholarship that aims to benefit military veterans and their immediate family members has been added to Troy’s scholarship portal.

Troy will offer a 10% tuition scholarship and waiver of application fees for all veterans and their families, including spouses and dependents, in appreciation for their service to the country.

These are through the Troy Partnership Program.

“In addition to being a longstanding partner to those serving in our military, we are proud to now offer a tuition scholarship to all veterans and their families to show appreciation for their service to our great nation,” said Director of Military and Veterans Affairs Scott Brumbeloe. “This scholarship and application fee waiver will assist in making Troy more accessible than ever and assist military veterans and their families in attaining their higher education goals.”

Publications such as the U.S. News and World Report, GI Jobs, Military Times Edge and Advanced Military Education consistently recognizes Troy as a leading institution for members of the military and veterans.

“At Troy University, we know that freedom isn’t free,” said Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. “Serving the men and women of the U.S. military is a part of our mission at Troy.

“We are pleased to demonstrate our appreciation for their service by offering this new scholarship and application fee waiver to veterans and their families.”

The applicants form DD214 will verify eligibility for the scholarship. The application fee waiver is available by using the promotional code TROY4VETS.

For additional information about the scholarship, contact Brumbeloe at 334-670-3657 or by email at smbrumbeloe@troy.edu or visit troy.edu/military-veterans.
