The Student Government Association placed two new club constitutions on docket this week for Troy University Quidditch Team and Troy University Club Tennis Team.

The Troy Quidditch Team’s purpose is to maintain the spirit of Harry Potter, encourage an active imagination and to promote a healthier lifestyle especially to students who do not participate in traditional sports.

The purpose of the Troy Club Tennis Team is to provide a community for students who are interested in tennis, no matter what playing level they are on and to encourage and promote a healthy and active lifestyle.

The SGA also discussed Troy University dining options.

In the recent SGA housing elections, students were asked to fill out a survey about what issues are important to Troy University students. Students were mostly concerned with dining on campus.

Students can now further voice their opinions through a new survey focusing specifically on Troy’s current dining options.

Students can complete this survey at the following link: http://vcil.cc/2kteprd.

The SGA ended with the announcement of a follow up homecoming meeting for the groups that will be participating in the events this year.

“I think this is going to be the biggest turnout that Troy has ever seen,” Darunda “D” Wilkins, a sophomore business management major from Montgomery and senator-at-large said, “We have the most organizations that we’ve ever had wanting to be apart of this. I think Troy is really showing it’s Trojan spirit.”

The meeting was held Wednesday night at 8pm.
