Frequency and Concert Chorale auditions

Auditions for the Troy University Vocal Jazz Ensemble, “frequency” will be held March 26, 1-3 p.m. in the Long Hall Choir room.

 

Auditions for the Troy University Concert Chorale will be March 30th, 10-noon.

 

If these times conflict with students’  class schedules, please email for an appointment:  troychoral@troy.edu or 334-808-6298.

 

Audition packets for both will be available for pickup on March 5 and 6 in Long Hall 112.

 

frequency is an auditioned vocal jazz ensemble that is devoted to the performance of traditional and contemporary a cappella and accompanied ensemble vocal jazz.  frequency is designed to provide a quality performing experience for students of all majors. Membership is open to sophomores through graduate students.

 

The Troy University Concert Chorale is an auditioned mixed chamber choir (32 members) that performs classical, traditional, and contemporary choral pieces. Most of the students in the Troy University Concert Chorale are undergraduates and represent a wide variety of majors.

 

Both groups were chosen by blind audition to perform in January at the Alabama Music Educators Association In-Service Conference in Montgomery.
