As the seasons and temperatures are changing outside, so is the selection of flavors students can choose from inside of Blenz, as it has plans to release new seasonal flavors.

“As far as seasonal items, admin has been developing some new flavors; however my knowledge as to what they’re developing currently is limited,” said Amelia Fronckowiak, Blenz’s student manager who is a junior exercise science major from Madison, Alabama.

Although the new flavors have not yet been released, some are getting excited at the possibilities, especially considering the success of previous seasonal items.

“I have to say that the passion fruit bowls from last semester hold a special place in my heart,” said Camryn Downs, a Blenz worker who is a senior global business major from Valley, Alabama. “They literally tasted exactly like summer.”

Downs believes the variety at Blenz is one of the main selling points for them because of both the range of possible flavors and the convenience for the students.

“I think variety is important so that a customer doesn’t get burnt out,” Downs said. “New things are constantly coming onto the market, and you have to adapt to be able to keep up.

“Having variety gets you a larger customer base right off the bat, since different people will be interested in different things. Customers appreciate having choices, it makes them feel more connected and involved in the purchase process.”

For one of Blenz’s customers, the variety they provide offers more than just interesting flavors; it also allows for a more diet-friendly experience.

“Not only does variety provide the customer with many options, but it also allows them to have different fruits and/or veggies, providing a myriad of vitamins and nutrients,” said Laney Hinton, a sophomore nursing major from Hoover, Alabama.

Bringing in more students and offering more options for people to try allows Blenz to create a community and a positive environment for the customers, which the student manager believes is a crucial aspect of the business.

“We serve hundreds of guests throughout the semester – all with different interests and backgrounds,” Fronckowiak said. “Being able to offer variety, even just through smoothies, bowls and coffee, we begin to open so many doors for the community, which I feel is something our society lacks to take time to do.

“It creates a priority to rest in the moment and expand on relationships because our shop can meet the interests of even one individual.”
