SGA holds debate
Executives take the stage to debate for this year's open SGA positions The Trojan Center ballrooms were the site of this year’s SGA Executive Debate, allowing candidates to personally introduce themselves and their campaigns to voters last Friday. The debate began with each candidate introducing their campaigns and their slogans, followed by a few general rounds of questions from the moderator, some known and some unknown to the candidates. Students take on "Debate and Donut Holes" at party
Kicking off the semester, Trojan Debate Club held its semesterly interest meeting sharing its love for debate, donut holes and balloons. The event commenced with an introduction to the ins and outs of debate, format and how to win coveted titles at tournaments. Hall School of Journalism and Communication professor Michael Gray, who is also the Debate Club’s adviser, explained at the meeting that debate is a competition with equal time allotted to either side and at the end

TPUSA connects with students on controversial discussion topic
Turning Point USA (TPUSA) at Troy University set up their second discussion table of the semester in the Trojan Center last Thursday. TPUSA created a banner along the front of their table with the discussion topic “Abortion is Murder” written across it, which drew the eyes of students passing by.
