Senior Farewells: Jameson Fowler

As I stand at the finish line, it’s hard to believe my time at Troy is coming to an end. It feels like just yesterday I stepped onto campus for the first time — nervous, excited and definitely a little lost. I didn’t know what to expect, and I certainly didn’t know how much Troy would eventually shape me into the man I am today.
Troy has become more than just a school to me. It’s where I found my passion, my voice and most importantly, myself. Some classes were definitely tough, and there were plenty of long nights filled with writing, projects and studying until I passed out on my bed. Yet, those challenges taught me how to push through even when things seemed impossible.
Except, it wasn’t just the classroom that made a difference. It was the people who surrounded me on this great campus. Classmates became friends, professors care about our education and love what they do, and the amazing events and campus life made Troy feel more like a second home to me.
Trojan Vision and The Tropolitan were truly the biggest hubs of my experience here. They helped shape me alongside my classes, giving me the chance to make friends, find opportunities and discover where my true passion lies. Through them, I realized my love for photography and videography — two things I found that I’m genuinely good at and excited to continue pursuing.
If there’s one lesson Troy taught me, it’s that it’s okay to fail sometimes. Not everything went the way I planned, and there were moments when I seriously questioned if I was good enough. But every setback pushed me to learn, to look at things from a new angle and to keep trying. Troy didn’t just help me earn a degree; it built my character, brick by brick.
To my friends and my Trojan family, I bid you a bittersweet farewell. I’m confident that whatever paths we take next, they’ll lead us to a bright future. Thank you for the lessons, the memories and the strength to stand tall and move forward.
So, I’ll leave you with a quote from Zhongli in Genshin Impact:
"For those that live too long, the friends of days gone by and scenes from their adventures live on in their memories. As I have no regrets in meeting you, friend. Should the day ever come that we are not together, you will continue to shine like gold in my memories."
“Cheers” - Jameson
